Hot foil printing is a commercial process involving applying metallic or pigmented foil onto a surface using a heated die (stamp) and foil. Hot foil printing is available with a single or two-colour finish, and it’s an economical way of producing an eye-catching effect that gives a luxury feel to packaging and, therefore, the brand.
Although a wide range of colours is available, Pantone colour matching is not possible with hot foil printing, and it’s also not suitable for logos or images with complex or minute details.
Hot foil printing is a manual process, so a minimum order is usually required. So you can ensure the printing is suitable for your business, before placing a complete order, we can produce a printed sample at a small charge of £6 plus VAT, plus the printing plate cost.
